2. What this policy covers

This policy covers eurodar.com, including the enquiry forms on our Contact page and the Preliminary Estimate Calculator. It does not cover other companies' websites that we may link to.

3. What we collect

We collect what you type into our forms, together with the technical data described in section 3.3. We do not run analytics, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

3.1 Enquiry forms

When you send an enquiry from our Contact page we receive:

  • your name;
  • your e-mail address;
  • your telephone number;
  • your message;
  • the date and time of the enquiry, and the address of the page you sent it from;
  • the IP address you sent it from (see section 3.3).

Every enquiry is checked automatically for signs of spam before it reaches our team. Submissions that are plainly automated are discarded; anything in doubt is passed on to a person, marked as possible spam.

3.2 Preliminary Estimate Calculator

The calculator asks for the information needed to price a fit-out, and it sends it to us at two points.

When you complete the first step, we receive your contact details — name, e-mail address, telephone number (with country code) and the community or area of the project — together with the project type, the property type, the approximate size, and the IP address you are using. We receive these straight away, so that our team can help you even if you do not finish the calculator.

When you press Calculate & Send To My Email, we receive the complete brief:

  • Property details — residential or commercial, property or space type, approximate size in square feet, number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • Your specification — the level of specification chosen, and your selections for flooring, ceiling, painting, kitchen, wardrobes, dressing room and bathrooms, including the dimensions and areas you enter.
  • Submission metadata — the date and time, and how long the form was open (we use this only to filter out automated submissions).

We use this to produce a preliminary estimate and e-mail it to you, and to prepare for a site survey if you want one. The estimate itself is never shown on the website — it is calculated on our server and sent to your e-mail address.

3.3 Technical data

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which normally include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

We record the IP address you sent your enquiry from, and keep it with the enquiry itself. We use it to recognise that several enquiries came from the same visitor — for example the partly-filled enquiry we receive when you finish the first step of the calculator and the completed brief you send at the end — so that our team treats them as one conversation rather than contacting you twice. It is also what lets us identify abuse of the forms. The address is visible to the members of our team who handle enquiries, and it is kept for as long as the enquiry is (see section 8).

Separately, to stop the forms being abused, we keep two counters. One counts submissions per visitor, using a one-way cryptographic hash of the IP address rather than the address itself. The other limits how many estimates can be e-mailed to one mailbox, using a one-way hash of that e-mail address. Both are discarded automatically within the hour. When we refuse or discard a submission as automated, our server log records the reason and the hashed IP address — never your name, e-mail address or telephone number.

Each calculator enquiry also carries a short random reference (for example K7M2QX9P) generated in your browser, which serves the same linking purpose.

3.4 Saving your answers in your own browser

While you fill the calculator in, your answers are saved in your own browser, so that a reload or an accidentally closed tab does not lose your work. This uses your browser's local storage, not a cookie.

  • The draft stays on your device. The only exception is the contact details from the first step, which are sent to us when you move past that step (see section 3.2).
  • It is deleted automatically 14 days after you started it, immediately after you submit, and immediately if you press Start over.
  • You can remove it yourself at any time by clearing site data for eurodar.com in your browser settings.

3.5 Cookies

The website itself sets no cookies for analytics, advertising or profiling. WordPress, the platform the site runs on, may set strictly necessary cookies if you log in to an account on the site or leave a comment. The map on our Contact page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads (see section 4).

4. Third parties whose servers your browser contacts

Some page elements are loaded from other companies' servers. When that happens, your browser reveals your IP address and basic request information to them. We do not control what they do with it.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our instructions, and only as far as they need it:

RecipientRole
Arvid Logicum OÜ (Estonia)Hosts eurodar.com and stores server logs
Webzilla B.V. (the Netherlands)Runs the mail server for our @eurodar.com mailboxes, which delivers your estimate
Hostinger (a server in Germany)Runs our own installation of the automation tool n8n, which routes your enquiry from the website to our team and sends your estimate e-mail
TelegramDelivers an internal notification to our project team. It contains your contact details, your message or specification, the reference and the IP address recorded with the enquiry

We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by UAE law, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

We never sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

7. Transfers outside the UAE

Some of the providers above process data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. Our website, our mail server and our automation server are located in the European Union — in Estonia, the Netherlands and Germany. Telegram operates servers in several countries.

Where data is transferred outside the UAE we rely on the transfer conditions in Articles 22 and 23 of the UAE PDPL — a jurisdiction recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, or appropriate contractual safeguards with the provider.

8. How long we keep it

9. How we protect it

The website is served over HTTPS. Submissions are validated and cleaned on our server before they are stored or forwarded, the forms are protected against automated submissions and rate-limited, and access to enquiries is limited to the members of our team who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, as required by Article 20 of the PDPL.

10. Your rights

Under the UAE PDPL you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is processed;
  • access the personal data we hold about you, and request a copy;
  • request that it be transferred to you or to another controller in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • request erasure of your data;
  • restrict or stop processing in the circumstances the law allows;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent. Withdrawing it does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, write to info@eurodar.com. We may need to ask for information to confirm who you are. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office (the federal data protection authority).

11. Children

Our services are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly.
